After dealing with situations were the title often dictated the obligation to the game, these are the ranks for our progression into Aion:
Empyrean Lord - Guild Leader
Guardian - Core member of the guild. These members are tasked with keeping the direction of the guild in line with the ideals of the community. As communities evolve with new members this is the core that decides with the Guild Leader the direction we need to take.
Daeva - Member of the Guild.
Human - New recruit (2 weeks to be promoted to Daeva)
Legacy Serpents - Former Black Serpent members that may not be active in our guild or our community, but want to stay in touch.
Fallen Daeva - (2 weeks of inactivity without AFK notice)
Comrade - Ally to the guild to give access to the forums to stay in touch.
So in reality, there's not really an "officer" title. It's a Guardian of Black Serpent. That means we work together to make this a community worth playing in be it keeping the immaturity out, keeping the forums active, helping out our players etc. Similar to what one might expect of an officer, but not so much pressure because of a title.

I'm getting my HoM to 30 in guild wars waiting for GW2. At least that game is building around massive scale combat in the vein of DAoC. The three factions are three servers fighting it out over two weeks.
