So we just received about 10 applications on top of the applications we still had pending to interview.

Recruitment is temporarily closed until we process those applicants and set up interviews as needed

In the meantime, I've disabled applications to the guild.

If existing Serpents have any friends or family intending to app into the guild send me a PM and we'll coordinate them into the mix.

If you have already submitted an application, we'll be in touch soon to relay the results!

Thank you for your understanding smile

I can assure you we'll be opening back up soon when we get through the current applications I just had to control the flow of applications to be able to rate each one fairly. I had the interviews down to 3 pending when we got slammed with 12 applications today (very exciting; don't get me wrong!).

In order to not rush through the process, give each person the consideration they deserve, and ensure a timely response it was my decision this was the fairest way to do that.

I could have just said "to hell with all these people!!" and mass denied, but I figured a temporary close was the best course

Keep in mind the initial recruitment targets were specifically set 7 of each class (56 members) which still gives us plenty of growth opportunity as the game goes live. The objective was to build a community, not just a large guild. I've had some experience with how to grow a guild large, but I'm taking a gradual approach in this game. I can guarantee 60 people a guild tag under their head within the first two days of launch. When we're able to support 90 slots that's when the next recruitment drive will happen full force.

I completely respect the guild communities on both sides who have determined they would be able to house 120+ members at launch either through multiple legions or hardcore progression to rank their guilds ASAP. I applaud their ability to do so. I'm taking a practical approach and growing the community at a pace we can all manage around so it's not 120+ strangers; some with a guild tag, some without, based on the limitations of the game. Or worse spread across multiple legions who don't get to know each other.
